Rondo Honored with The Knots “HALL OF FAME” Award

We received a tremendous honor this week!  The Knot is an online site that provides vendor information, reviews and ideas for every possible aspect of ones wedding day. Each year, this online wedding site holds a “best of weddings” competition.  Reviews from former clients are the way in which you accumulate votes.  We are so proud to have been a winner of the Best of Weddings for several years running.  This Hall of Fame trophy was awarded to us for having been voted the “BEST” by real newlyweds four or more times. While the trophy is lovely, its the fact that our former clients are so pleased with our string quartet services that they will take the time to write us a glowing review. Our 5 Star designation, the highest possible, is a point of pride for us.  We consider it an honor to be a part of any couples wedding day and work diligently to provide the best possible musical experience.  The music is a critical part of a wedding day and one that should hold memories for the newlyweds and guests alike. Detroit Historical Museum Offers Unique Venue for Weddings and Receptions

A unique treasure exists in Detroit’s Cultural Center on Woodward Avenue.  This gem is known to many but deserves everyone’s attention. The Detroit Historical Museum is home to the Streets of Old Detroit, America’s Motor City and many other exhibit. We were delighted to find this venue and enjoyed playing for Elizabeth’s wedding reception on the Streets of Old Detroit. This exhibit allows guests to step into Detroit’s past and experience the city’s dramatic transformation from rural frontier town to industrial giant in three time periods: the 1840s, 1870s and 1900s.   This is a unique venue that is sure to entertain and inspire your party guests.

During the two hours, we played all styles of music for the guests. Our Mo-Town selections were a big hit considering our location. As was the Italian opera arias, musicals and classic rock. Forte Belanger of Troy catered the event and it all looked and smelled wonderful! The Pastry Palace in Wixom made the wedding cake and did a fabulous job with the Detroit themed cake.

With several private spaces and the option to setup throughout the entire museum, the Detroit Historical Museum is an outstanding location for parties of up to 2,000 guests!

Wedding for Faith Church Choir Members at Lyon Oaks in Wixom

Congratulations to Mike and Jennifer on their wedding last weekend at Lyon Oaks Golf Course in Wixom.  Members of Faith Community Church, these two choir members had a great number of friends on hand to celebrate their special day.  Lyon Oaks preserves 800 acres of environmentally-sensitive wetlands within a natural, 1,043-acre park. The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired clubhouse, with expansive views of the golf course, was beautifully decorated for the reception.  The cake, pictured here, was unique and surrounded by miniature wedding gowns.  We had the pleasure of playing for the cocktails and dinner with a wide variety of fun music selected by Jennifer and Mike.  The crowd enjoyed a mix of the classics, Beatles, Contemporary and Nostalgic selections.  We got a great response from the guests when we played Firework by Katy Perry and appreciate the many kind compliments we received throughout the night.

We extend our best wishes to Mike and Jennifer as they begin married life together.

The Rondo String Quartet played for both our ceremony and part of our repception. They were extremely professional, helpful, and talented! They made my ceremony perfect, and we especially enjoyed the variety of music that they were able to play at our reception. Our guests were thoroughly entertained!
