Rondo Honored with The Knots “HALL OF FAME” Award

We received a tremendous honor this week!  The Knot is an online site that provides vendor information, reviews and ideas for every possible aspect of ones wedding day. Each year, this online wedding site holds a “best of weddings” competition.  Reviews from former clients are the way in which you accumulate votes.  We are so proud to have been a winner of the Best of Weddings for several years running.  This Hall of Fame trophy was awarded to us for having been voted the “BEST” by real newlyweds four or more times. While the trophy is lovely, its the fact that our former clients are so pleased with our string quartet services that they will take the time to write us a glowing review. Our 5 Star designation, the highest possible, is a point of pride for us.  We consider it an honor to be a part of any couples wedding day and work diligently to provide the best possible musical experience.  The music is a critical part of a wedding day and one that should hold memories for the newlyweds and guests alike. If you are looking for wedding music, check out any of our 70 reviews on The Knot.

Spring Day Heralds Wedding at St. Lawrence Church

3686498154_561691cca9_z[1]Congratulations to Natalie and Aaron on their wedding this past weekend at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica.  It was a gorgeous day both inside and outside the church as the church was decorated with black and white pew bows to compliment the bridal party dresses.  The couple chose the traditional style wedding with Canon in D for the bridal party’s processional and Wagner’s Bridal Chorus for Natalie’s entrance.  Mike Roth, music director at St. Lawrence, provided the communion music while his wife sang and we played along with them.  We’ve enjoyed working with Mike before and were delighted to hear that he has a band, Cosmic Groove, which books for weddings, private parties and other special occasions.  We wish Aaron and Natalie the very best as they begin their life together.

Wedding at St. Lawrence Church in Utica

Congratulations to Nicholas and Jennifer on their marriage last Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The couple chose excellent music for their prelude including Mascagni Cavalleria Rusticana, and selections from the Marriage of Figaro along with others. Father John Boll, of St. Anthony Parish in Sacramento California where the couple currently lives, traveled to Michigan to officiate the mass. He highlighted the couple’s lengthy relationship which started back in high school. It’s always a pleasure to play for weddings at St. Lawrence thanks to Paul Fischer, music director and outstanding vocalists like Neena. We were able to play on all parts of the mass in addition to playing Canon in D for the bridal party, the Purcell Trumpet Voluntary for Jennifer’s processional and the Watermusic Finale for their recessional. Best wishes to Nicholas and Jennifer as they begin life together.

Organization Makes for Smooth Wedding at Trinity Church in Utica

Congratulations to Corinne and Kevin on their wedding August 28th at Trinity Church in Utica. The sanctuary looked elegant with candles under hurricane glass lining the aisle along the pews. We played a classical prelude for the seating of the guests which included Vivaldi’s Spring, Bach’s Air on the G String, Rondeau by Mouret and Handel’s Watermusic. The bridal party wore soft lavender dresses and processed to Pachelbel’s Canon. This soft purple was reflected in the gorgeous bouquets by Louise at Affordable Flowers. The flowers were simply stunning. Corinne looked beautiful as she processed to Purcell’s Trumpet Voluntary. One of the highlights of the ceremony was the reading of the letters by the officiate Justin Krupsky that were written by Corinne and Kevin. It was a romantic moment marked with an occasional laugh. The wedding ceremony was very well organized and as a result, it flowed smoothly. A special thank you to Holly, coordinator at Trinity Utica, for her cues and assistance. We wish Corinne and Kevin the very best.

St. Lawrence Church Wedding

Congratulations to Noelle and Guy on their beautiful New Year’s Eve wedding! The church, still decorated for the holidays with greenery and a Christmas tree, provided the perfect setting for their day. The bridal party wore black dresses that gave the ceremony an air of elegance as they processed to Palchelbel’s Canon. A trumpeter announced Noelle’s entrance with a celebratory fanfare and also played for their recessional. The ceremony included several readings by family and friends, Mass of Creation and Communion. In keeping with the couple’s wishes, we played selections from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. We wish Guy and Noelle the very best as they begin the new year, and their new life together.
