Wedding at St. John’s Lutheran’s Church in Romeo

Congratulations to Anne and Andrew on their recent wedding at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Romeo. Pastor Mark conducted a thoughtful service that conveyed the sanctity of the ceremony. The seven bridesmaids, wearing vibrant pink dresses, all processed to Pachelbel’s Canon while Anne chose the sentimental song “You’re Still You” for her bridal processional. During Communion, we played Ave Maria and Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze as the new couple served their guests the sacraments. It was a personal and touching gesture. Sentiment was certainly the theme for the day and enhanced with presence of a “special” guest. Daniel, Anne’s brother is currently serving our country in Iraq. His image, in the form of a life size poster, was present in the ceremony and all the family photographs. It was a tribute to a family’s love and his great service to our country. We wish Anne and Andrew the very best as they begin their new life together.
