Congratulations to Adam and Mary on their wedding and reception at Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford. Becky Taddiken, Director of Sales and Events at Boulder Pointe, certainly made sure that everything was perfect for Adam and Mary.

We had the pleasure of playing for Mary and Adam’s reception and the couple chose romantic melodies like Unchained Melody, The Way You Look Tonight, Hallelujah and What a Wonderful World. It was an elegant night for the newlyweds and we send our best wishes as they begin married life together.

Morning Weddings Offer Many Benefits for Couples Willing to Be Unique

Morning weddings have seen a rise in popularity this year.  Recent articles on the subject mention the “after wedding” time that you get to spend with your new spouse on your wedding day as a definite plus!  Photographers love morning weddings for the light.  And couples who have chosen the earlier time say it doesn’t dampen the celebration one little bit!  Alyson and Philip chose Boulder Pointe Golf Club and Banquet Center in Oxford for their special day.  Originally intended for outside, the threatening weather moved the ceremony indoors but the classic elegance of Boulder Creek made for a beautiful setting. We had the pleasure of playing for both the ceremony and lunch reception and the guests appeared to enjoy our Beatles selections and classic rock songs.   A rich display of muffins and fruit was available for the guests before lunch was served.  In addition to the wedding cake, a s’more bar was an additional treat. The couple was thoughtful of our extended playing time and invited us to eat lunch during the toasts and cake cutting.  Becky, the coordinator for Boulder Creek, set us up in a nearby room and treated us to a delightful meal.  We hope to be on their preferred vendor list and look forward to working with Becky and her staff again soon.  Best wishes to Alyson and Philip and our thanks to them for their thoughtful consideration.

Surpise Cold Snap Puts a Chill in the Air but Not on the Wedding Celebration

Who would have thought that we would see temperatures of 52 degrees in September. Ah, Michigan weather! It will test even the best plans for an outdoor wedding. Fortunately, the sun was shining and Stacey and Bret exchanged vows overlooking the beautiful golf course of Devils Ridge in Oxford. The couple chose to conduct a sand ceremony as part of their wedding but did it in a unique way. As the picture shows, they had a picture within a frame. The sand was poured behind the picture providing a backdrop to their photo. We love to see a new twist on an old idea. The reception decor and flowers were gorgeous and all the result of the talented Bill Hamilton of Bill Hamilton Designs. One of the pleasures of the wedding business is meeting individuals who have a passion for their work and do it superbly.
