Atrium Provides Outdoor Wedding Feeling Without the Temperament of Weather

20151030_170744What a delightful surprise!  The Southfield Westin is home to the beautiful Town Center Garden Atrium.  With 25′ Olive trees, tropical plants and a water fountain, it’s like walking into the Mediterranean.  Kylie and Nick were married in this retreat by Father Paul Chateau.  The bridal party wore navy dresses and carried cheerful bouquets of sunflowers!  We don’t see that type of flower often and yet they make a great statement and are so fitting at this time of year.  Kylie’s bouquet was a mix of white roses and sunflowers.  Well done, Gerald’s Florist.  Not to be outdone, Nick wore a burnt russet/burgundy color suit while his groomsmen wore a traditional gray.  We applaud Nick for the courage to be unique!  The color scheme looked fantastic.

The couple chose great songs for the ceremony showcasing a mix of Postal Service, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.  Photographer Karlie Fahlman and Westin Coordinator Michelle Ray assisted us with cues.  We were happy to see DJ Dave from our friends at Mike Staff Productions on hand for the reception.  The Westin catered the event and as the pictures show, the table decorations were gorgeous.  We loved the pumpkins! 20151030_170651
