Colony Club Wedding Brings Together Old and New Friends

IMG_2090There are many days when our weekly engagements provide an opportunity for us to meet new colleagues in the Detroit wedding business.  But for Ryan and Megan’s wedding at the Colony Club last weekend, it felt like a visit with old friends.  We have had weddings at the Colony Club for three consecutive weekends.  You know you’re a frequent visitor when the doorman remembers you and greets you with a “Welcome back!”  Our friend Jason from Night and Day Productions was there as well confirming that the evening was going to proceed beautifully.  Known for their personality, style and customer service, we have worked with Night and Day for many years.   They are one of the best in the metro area!

Megan and Ryan held their ceremony on the 4th floor which provided an intimate setting for their guests.  They decided to keep it traditional with the music of Handel, Vivaldi and Bach.  They utilized two contemporary pieces in their ceremony.  “A Thousand Years” for the bridal party and “Falling Slowly” for the unity candle.  Our friend, Dr. Richard Henderson of Faith Community Presbyterian Church in Novi officiated the ceremony.  We are frequent performers at Faith Community and recently played for their Easter Cantata.  The ceremony included a reading of the song lyrics from a Steven Curtis Chapman song titled “I Will Be Here”.

Following the ceremony, the guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the ground floor.  The food looked and smelled amazing!    We entertained them with our fantastic collection of contemporary music and every one appeared to be having a great time.  Congratulations to Megan and Ryan!
