Elegance and Practicality a Great Mix at Utica Wedding

Congratulations to Ashley and Thomas!  They were married this past weekend at Trinity Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Justin Krupsky.  This was a delightful afternoon wedding all the way around.  Rochelle of Blumz Florist created lovely pink rose bouquets that the ladies carried and April, of Artisan Photographic was getting great shots without being intrusive.  We played a nice mix of classical and contemporary music.  Ashley had some lovely ideas about the music which included Coldplay’s Fix You for the bridal party and the fast section of the song for her bridal processional.  Her plan worked out beautifully.  Their recessional was Bittersweet Symphony from the Verve.  One aspect worth mentioning was the bridesmaid’s dresses.  Each member of the bridal party wore an individually designed floor length gown in a muted, subdued color.  Each was unique and met the specific needs of the woman wearing it.  What a wonderful idea!  It was formal, elegant and practical. They did not look like the “average strapless” bridesmaids gowns we’ve seen often this summer and could clearly be worn at another formal event.  Best wishes to Thomas and Ashley on their wedding!
