Humor and Love Adorns Wedding at University of Michigan

It was a beautiful day for Stephanie and Neal’s wedding ceremony at the Ingalls Mall on the campus of the University of Michigan.  Stephanie’s writing professor John Ribideau injected humor and personal reflection into the vows and kept the guests laughing throughout the ceremony.  Courtney MacDonald of Petals Planning Company and her assistants did a wonderful job organizing the event both for the ceremony at Ingalls Mall and the cocktail hour at the Michigan League.  Sweet Pea Floral Design had vibrant colors on the ceremony arch that truly stood out as exceptional.  We also noted that Daniel James Photography, known for their outstanding photography, was on hand for the event. .  Certainly Mother Nature fulfilled its part of the bargain and provided a beautiful day that didn’t get too hot for the guests.

Stephanie and Neal chose romantic contemporary music for their day including “When I’m 64” by the Beatles, Dynamite and more.  The ceremony was highlighted by several readings.  One that stood out was “Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog” by Taylor Mali and read by TJ Miller and “To Love is Not to Possess”by James Kavanaugh and read by Jeannie Kao.  During the cocktail hour, we received many compliments from guests that enjoyed the music of Coldplay, Greenday and Katy Perry.

It was obvious that Stephanie and Neal have a wonderful sense of humor and are approaching their married life with joy and laughter.  We wish them both the very best and thank them for allowing us to be a part of their special day.
