A Surprised Groom at Henry Ford Wedding

Congratulations to Neely and Christopher on their wedding at the Henry Ford last weekend. The weather brought the planned outdoor wedding into the Anderson Theater but it didn’t put a damper on the joyful celebration. Neely and Christopher had many unique qualities to their ceremony. The prelude consisted of popular music chosen by the couple. We played Coldplay, Katy Perry, Beatles and Taylor Swift. A bagpiper announced the arrival of the groom’s mother. On a traditional note, the bridal party, dressed in champagne gowns, walked to Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto while Neely processed to Pachelbel’s Canon. A family friend, Matt, performed a beautiful rendition of Ave Maria for the Unity Candle. The highlight of the ceremony was the surprise that Neely had planned for her new husband. A Marching Band, having snuck into the balcony, heralded the presentation of the new couple. Christopher was completely surprised and no doubt touched that his new wife organized this personal conclusion to their wedding ceremony. We wish Neely and Christopher the very best!
