Fern Hill Country Club Wedding and Reception

Under the shady canopy of trees at Fern Hill Country Club, two people and two cultures were brought together in matrimony last week. Our congratulations to Piret and Paul on their wedding ceremony and reception. Piret is a native of Estonia, a country located in the Baltic Region of Northern Europe. Paul and his family, natives of Detroit, have deep connections to classical music here in Detroit. As a result, we played well known classics for their wedding ceremony including Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto, Handel’s Passacaile, Vivaldi’s Spring and Handel’s Watermusic. The bridal party wore pastel pink or green dresses and carried pink tipped roses. The flower girl was especially charming in her matching green dress. Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the country club while we added the music of Brahms, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak and Khachaturian to our play list. We are especially thankful to Marsha, mother of the groom, who did an outstanding job planning the wedding as both Piret and Paul were living out of town in the months prior to the wedding. Her hard work and attention to detail was evident in the beauty of the ceremony and celebration. We wish the newly married couple the very best as they begin their lives together.
