Wedding and Reception at Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle

Congratulations to Jaclyn and Anthony who had a beautiful evening at the Historic Detroit Yacht Club for their wedding ceremony and reception. The DYC was founded in 1868 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious private Clubs in North America. The current DYC clubhouse is located on a private island along the banks of the Belle Isle Park in Detroit.
The bride and groom selected all contemporary music for their ceremony including “Don’t Stop Believing” for the bridesmaid’s processional and “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles for their recessional. The Reverend O’Grady officiated the ceremony that included the lighting of the unity candle to the song “Everything I Do, I Do For You” from the movie Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Our thanks to Rev. O’Grady’s wife, Lucy, for her helpful assistance throughout the evening.
Following the ceremony, the guests moved to the terrace for cocktails while we entertained them with additional contemporary songs. Best of luck to Jaclyn and Anthony as they begin their lives together as husband and wife.
